Special Conditions:
Description:    The candidate will conduct research to develop techniques
to use
crop growth models for
        evaluating spatial yield variability in precision farming, and evaluate
risk associated with
prescriptions.  New theory will be developed and implemented (via programming)
into existing crop growth models.  Some field data collection will be required,
including plant growth sampling, soil water content sampling, and field
scouting.
Required Qualifications:        Master's degree in agricultural engineering or
related field, experience with
        FORTRAN programming or other high-level languages, proficiency in word
processing and
        spreadsheets, GIS experience, and excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:       At least one year of experience using DSSAT
based crop growth models.
Salary/Wage:    $28,000 minimum, commensurate with qualifications.
