Dear Members,
I am trying to calibrate DSSAT 3.5 for Peanut crop growth
simulation. The genotype file PNGRO980.CUL has one coefficient as "SIZLF".
Can someone tell Whether this coefficient is maximum size of a single
fully expanded leaf or three leaves on the plant under standard
conditions, cm^2.
If it is for 3 leaflets, the peanut cultivar AK 1224 which I am using has
maximum size of single leaf as 8 cm^2. The size of 3 leaflets will be 24,
a very high value. This file has coefficients for some cultivars tested
by modellers having maximum value of "SIZLF" as 20 cm^2. Should I continue
calibration with my cultivar value?
