An Indian dealer told me: "pyrum shells depends on the quality, these
shells go in grams rates. for example the price could range from $25
to $40 per gram depending on the size & quality."
However getting a specimen directly from a fisherman would be a whole
other ballgame... "smuggled", as it's illegal for them to sell ANY
chank shell to anyone but an official buyer.
