Hi, Everyone!
Well, I might as well "jump into deep water." I have not been following this thread faithfully; but, where do we draw the line between shells that show one or two color/shape variations (calling them "forms") and a species that occurs in many vast and different colors and patterns, e.g. Flexopecten glaber? Maybe someone has already mentioned showing a physiological variation in the animal or its biochemistry. I think we can carried away by the idea of form if it is based solely on shell characteristics. Anyhow, just my two cents worth.
Wish I were coming to the convention - too far away for me (both in expense and the wear and tear on a body getting older)
"Til next year,
Linda
