Does anyone know of a good reference on identifying mystery Asaphis
(old museum collection, often no data)? There seems to be little
agreement on the number of species. I'm seeing variation in shell
thickness, shape, and sculpture that appear consistent within a lot.
Also, any thoughts on likely spots for finding subsequent designations
of types for Adams and Adams genera? I'm specifically interested in
Neritostoma, a pre-Linnaean name that they revived for the Radix group
of Lymnaeidae. Most listed species are Radix s.s., but a few belong
to other groups.
