Hi All
Actually it is true that the radular tooth of typically piscivorous conus
(when adult) undergoes ontogenetic changes when they are young until they
become fully developed adults. I do know of several of such studies, one
by Emilio Rolan on the ontogenetic changes of the radular tooth of Conus
ermineus (actually the tooth goes through the stages vermivorous-
intermediate vermivorous-molluscivorous and finally piscivorous), and
another similar work by James Nybakken on the ontogenetic changes of the
radular tooth of Conus magus. I can provide more accurate references, if
desired. I guess that more works of this kind are probably available.
warmest regards to all, Merry Christmas and All the best for the New Year
