Dear Colleagues and friend This is a gentle remind on my recent book on Brazilian and neighborhood land and freshwater shells. It is a full-color, hard-covered catalogue that mostly illustrates type specimens, inventorying the malacofauna of entire Brazilian mainland ecosystems, which also includes neighbor countries. In freshwater bivalves and ampullariids, for example, practically entire South America is included. It is the main result of a 12-year project, which included several trips and the consult of almost 3,000 references (also included in the volume). More information you can obtain in the website: http://www.femorale.com.br/articles/books/simone06/index.asp If you understand some Latin language, the following websites can be also consulted: http://br.geocities.com/livroluiz/ http://www.usp.br/jorusp/arquivo/2006/jusp783/pag07.htm I hope you like my job. It is convenient to remind that the book stock is finishing. Thank you, Luiz -- Luiz Ricardo L. Simone, Ph.D. Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo Cx.
