Thanks for the note. I'm glad to hear you've got a record breaker Prunum
poulosi. Yes, I do think Conch-L is an excellent forum for comparing
initial stats like size records. About a year and a half ago, before the
"Registry of World Record Size Shells" was published, I submitted to Kim
what I thought was a record Lambis crocata pilsbryi at 253mm, which, after
a couple of quick email inquiries was quickly superceded by a 257mm
specimen in the collection of a prominent Conch'ler. I guess the book
should really be called the "Registry of (Known) World Record Size Shells."
