Hi, all;-
It's hot, humid and worse! So I thought I might ease your burdens
---somewhat. NO PIGS! (flying or otherwise! But I coached TENNIS for
about 50 years and did a few bits of doggeral about it. I'll put in
three. If you don like--no-more. If you do---maybe more.
His shoes cost a hundred when bought.
His racket cost triple. (Hand wrought.)
His shorts and his shirt,
Expensive, but Burt
Played a game that was valued at nought.
Miss Annabelle Colby McGuire
Thought tennis a sport to admire.
"Though winded they get,
They don't seem to sweat;
Though some, I have noted, perspire."
Sir Clyde, before playing the game,
Said, "Easy on me. I am lame.
There's grit in my eye,
A wound on my thigh."
The bahstard! He won just the same.
Happy Wednesday,
Art
