Olives and Olivellas are active day and night. In the daytime they are
burrowing under the sand, at night they usually come up on top of the
sand. Same thing with some of the Persiculas (Marginellas) expecially
in Aruba. In the Bahamas Oliva reticularis are all over the place at
night crawling on top of the sand, but you can find trails in the
daytime and if you watch you can see the shells move under the sand.
