Dear Art, and all,
I was recently given 2 cowries of obviously the same species, but I
can't ID them, maybe they're juveniles, although they both have teeth
and a series of indentations along the margin on the left. They are
gold-beige on top, with one somewhat darker spot, with white margins and
bottoms. The large one is 30 mm, the smaller one 25 mm. The larger one
has faint white spots were the beige meets the white. I have NO idea
where they are from.
And now, the REAL reason for this post: Art, I've heard a rumor that
one of the reindeer is ill, and will be replaced this year by a flying
pig named Oscar. Can you shed any light on this report?
A very merry and blessed Yule to you all! May all your (shell) wishes
come true!
