Dear Maurizio and list members,
Maurizio's post about his new web article on Oliva miniacea brings to mind a lingering question that I have had about the depictions of Oliva sericea in the Abbott's Golden Guide, "Seashells of the World." I have am of the opinion that these illustrations are actually of O. miniacea.
Most list members know of this wonderful little book and many of you own a copy. What is your opinion of the correct identification of the illustrations, captioned "Oliva sericea" in this book?
By the way, Maurizio, thank you for the notice and the link to your download on O. miniacea. I look forward to reading it!
