Re: the commercial messages and dealers.

I, for one, am perfectly delighted to see dealers, books, trip
opportunities on CONCH-L.  That consolidates relevant and interesting
information on one site.  I have  had very, very  happy results from
contacts with dealers, book interests, and trip opportunities on CONCH-L.
Without their presence, these opportunities would have been lost.

I am on another list that, unlike Conch-L, frequently offers superfluous
individual - centered messages.  I don't fuss- I just have my finger
on the "D" key as I scroll thru.
