Dear specialists of Cypraeidae
In the museums collection there is a colour variation of Cypraea errones which maybe correspond
to a so called form azurea. The color is banded blueish with darker and less darker broad stripes,
the dorsal ground is blue / blueish and not eventual olive green with spots. It seems that
this form of errones is more worth than a normal specimen. The shell is coming from W-Australia,
maybe from Broome. Can you give me some informations of such a shell. Is that colour variation,
I don't believe thats a good ssp., quite rare and hard to get.
with best shelling greetings and thanks for information in advance
