"Dear Mothers and Conchlers,

"I wish you all a great Mothers day on Sunday. My mother doesnt get flowers,
but today I sorted out her from very very shellgrit some foraminiferas,
which at this weekend call foramuttifera - the foras for mutti (Mutti meens
mother). She likes the foras for their structure very much, but is not
always able to sort the smallest of them. I am working under the microscopa
at this moment and send you this e-mail wishing you a nice Mothers Day with
best shelling and foraminifering greetings Helmut, the nice boy of mother
Irmgard."

Thank you for sharing that with us, Helmut. I have always thought that
forams look like little perfume bottles. How many foraminifera did you give
her? One foram, or 10 kilos?

With best wishes for Helmut and her good mother Irmgard Nisters,
Andy
