whenever a hunter would like to get an extraordinary trophy of a deer. he should not cut down the forest.
whenever a shellcollector is looking for extraordinary pieces of seashell he should watch out the situation of the coralreefs. (and record the number of found shells, too).

so we all understand why you are interested to post this topic on conch-l and we all should be concerned, too.
