I'm pretty new to serious shell collecting...

Can someone estimate the value of a 140 mm cypraea cervus, collected
dead, with some dull spots (less than 1% of shell surface) where growths
were attached.

Also, what would smaller cowries (100 mm or so) in the same condition be
worth?

What would they be worth if the dull spots were removed, assuming you
couldn't easily tell them from a live-collected specimen?
