Something to bear in mind when looking at Philippine data labels where
depths are given in fathoms: the Filipinos measure their tangle net
lines with their outstretched arms, with their arm span assumed as one
"fathom".  But there are few six-footer Filipinos!  In reality, a
"Philippine fathom" is about 5ft, not 6ft.
