Good luck ! I have been collecting Strombus for 25 years and I have
NEVER seen S. dilatatus swainsoni offered. Abbott, in IPM Vol.1, no.2 ,
leads me to believe that I never will. "Less than a dozen specimens
seen" means that we have a very rare shell, if it is indeed valid. I
think you might as well put it on your wish list with S. scalariformis.
However, should you locate a source, please let me in on the find !
