Hi, Everyone!

Zebra mussels have all but eliminated the Niades in our
favorite collecting spots of the past, in the Meramec
River, a tributary of the Mississippi which empties into
it south of downtown St. Louis. (Before that, we were
plagued by introduced Corbiculas.)

Leslie Crnkovic was nice enough to send me the
instructions for replying to just the person sending the
message instead of to all of CONCH-L. Shell collectors
are great people! Viva CONCH-L!

Cheers,
Linda
