That last was meant to be private, obviously.

Of more general interest to the list: environmental degradation is evident
in the Gulf of Thailand as it is elsewhere. Although there's recognition by
the Thai government that tourists are coming because of the natural
heritage, there's also reluctance or unwillingness to regulate commercial
development. As far as I know, sewage from the hotels and bungalows is being
sent into the marine environment unprocessed.
