Hi, Again!
Now I'm stumped over a Terebra; it close resembls a
species in the Philippine book, but the brown dots are in
the wrong place in relation to the suture; they are above
the suture and all of the pictures show them as BELOW the
suture; otherwise it agrees. Anyone want another of my
blurred images. A WORD OF WISDOM FOR THE NEW COLLECTOR:
don't buy or trade for shells unless you have adequate
data (of course, there will be donations that you can't
resist that are devoid of data, but look for a better
specimen with data when you buy from dealers or trade for
the same shell).
I've got a headache over all the cataloguing, but I am
determined to get it up to date! Some shells I'm putting
in a "don't catalogue" box, because they are either
inferior specimens or you just can't come by the i.d.
and/or the locality.
Cheers,
Linda
