Let's not overlook one of the largest and best-known shells of  all -
Cassis cornuta (Horned Helmet), in which the shoulder of mature male
shells is ornamented by several thick, round-tipped spines ("horns"),
while the female shell has a larger number of much smaller, more
pointed projections.
