Hi, Everyone!

I happened across something on Animal Planet last night
when I was "channel surfing."  It was about a giant
"rainbow" squid.  I rather think this was an extinct
creature, as it was not archituthis (spelling)?  They had
pictures, but then you can do any thing with computer
animation now.  When did such a creature live?

Next question:  I got a book for Christmas which pictures
"Pecten" miniacea and states that it shares the range with
and often is misidentified as senatoria.  Is this right,
or are they synonymous?
