One of the possible ways things could have been moved around in the early
days eg 1800's, would have been when people were sent ashore to refill the
ships drinking water supply from springs etc. So this could help explain
the movements of some of the freshwater species such as Physids, Lymnaenids
and Planorbids not to mention Pisidium and hydrobiids such as Potamopyrgus.
