Silicone comes in two forms, grease and spray.
The grease is available at any dive shop, but is expensive and a
pita to use.
The spray is available at any Lowe's, Home Depot, auto parts
stores, etc. Much easier to use, but uses heptane as a diluent
and propane as a propellant. Use in well-ventilated areas.
Restaurant supply stores also sell a food grade silicone, a bit
more pure, but overkill for shell shining.
