Peggy and all,
Is it a shallow water species near Marco Island, or anywhere in its range?
It seems like it's somewhat common in limited pockets of its range, perhaps, but not in broad areas of the range.
Perhaps "Common," in this instance, means that it is the most common of the west Atlantic cancellarids although it is not particularly common.
