Javier, I checked in Alison Kay's Hawaiian Marine Shells (1979). She lists
12 different species of Balcis found in Hawaiian waters. None of them match
either of your spellings for the species name. Sorry. Bert Bartleson

Subject: about taxon validity

Hello from Lanzarote:

Can anyone help me with the taxon status of:

Cerithiopsis concatenata-Mediterranean.

I'm also looking for info about Balcis spiduala or spidela ??? from Hawaii
(I don't find the correct name).
Regards

Javier Lopez
