The petition includes some photos including one by Barry Roth.

Barry, how often are significant numbers of mollusks petitioned for listing at one time?  I'm aware that the Hawaiian Achatinella were petitioned as a genus, but what about numerous species within a geographical region?  Is this petition unique or is it becoming the norm?
