I based my ID initially in Poppe and Goto's 'European Seashells' volume II;
the shell in Donacila cornea is known to be very variable in shape and
coloration. Bonne chance!

Yes, some answers I receive propose Donacilla cornea.
It's the right pattern, the right "milky" fat layer inside valves, but
the general shape is strange...

Here is the link to "my" cornea:
http://www.idscaro.net/sci/04_med/class/fam5/species/donacilla_cornea1.htm
And here is an other pic of "cornea" that look like my mysterious shell:
http://bigai.world.coocan.jp/pic_book/data55/r005460.html
To replace things in a context, I send the link to my Mesodesmatidae
plate:
http://www.idscaro.net/sci/01_coll/plates/bival/pl_mesodesmatidae_1.htm

Could it be possible that my first corneahad an unusual form, with
extremities more angular than rounded?

Thanks!

Olivier
