Abbott uses it on page 194.
The text reads
Carinate Lanistes (2") 5 cm
Lanistes boltenianus (Roding, 1798). Nile River,
Egypt. Several operculate, left-handed species
in African rivers. Viviparidae.
Note: the o in Roding should have an umlaut, I can't put that character in
an e-mail.
