THE CAPTURED COWRY |

There are now 81 (consecutive) issues of the HAWAIIAN SHELL NEWS
represented in THE CAPTURED COWRY's archives.
Not only are there items about cowries, but other genera are
mentioned incidentally, some only mention cowries (sometimes,
only one cowry) in passing.
And there is a series of items about collecting (too many?)
live specimens; who does it, who shouldn't, who should, why
some shouldn't, ..., et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, ad nauseam.
But, it is interesting to see 'big' names weighing in on one
side or another.
Plus, one of our own skeletons comes rattling out of the closet
in a long article on... how to pronounce Latin names! Here's its
link http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/Shores/5867/NSN080CY.HTM#D
Complete with pronunciation guide, grammar rules and lots of
often read names with (suggested) pronunciations.
And much, much more.
Go for it! (Translated into Hawaiian pidgin = "Geev 'um!"
Aloha,
makuabob (a.k.a. Bob Dayle)
