Dear Art & all,
Back when there were a mere 100 or so of us on Conch-l It was a great deal
of fun to reply and question. I always loved your pigs Art and there were no
harsh words. The larger the list got the worse it gets in some ways and that
is one reason I have not even responded to Pecten questions. Besides, how many
times does one have to say the same things about Nodipecten spp. before it
sinks in. Sorry all you non-believers, I asked Tom Waller about that question
and he agreed with J.T. Smith. 2 species period. Believe it or not, who cares.
I also really hate to receive mail meant for someone else. If I was to start
pointing fingers, I am sure I would have to point to everyone on this list.
and while I am on my soapbox, I HATE the antogonistic people who seem to have
found Conch-L. Is that an oxymoronic sentence? I really hope you all can
shape up before this listserve becomes more of a problem than someone thinks
it's worth and cuts us off.
Art, tell us about our esteemed Betty Jean and how the park was named for
her. Is that true?
I hope the rest of you shape up, answer to personal e-mail addresses and not
get so antagonistic and downright nasty to each other..
