Yes, it would be a biased decision based on beauty. Not 'collection bias'
as it is usually used. Collection bias is when you purposefully or because
of your collection techniques or search image only collect a certain
portion of the population variation.
A holotype should be chosen to most perfectly represent the species or
subspecies. As close to the middle of the bell curve as possible. Of
course, this can only be done when you have a decent sample size. This is
not always possible.
