Hey, All;-
The article by Pam Belluck in todays NY Times should scare all of us
almost as much as the understanding of Quantum Mechanics.
She writes: "The Kansas Board of Education voted Wednesday to delete
virtually any mention of elolution from the state's science
curriculum---" (and goes on--"---the decision is likely to embolden
local school boards to remove volution from their curriculum, force
teachers to note questions about its validity, or introduce creationist
ideas. Some local school boards have already said they will consider
adopting creationist textbooks---"
It goes on to say that creationists have shifted their tactics to
excluding elolution instead of pushing devine creation. It states that
books should be labled (like cigarette packs) to warn that evolution is
"JUST" a theory and has never been seen in action.
        Whew!
                Art
(Do you think it's just cause Kansas doesn't have a beach?)
