Concerning these 19th-century institutions:

The American Journal of Conchology published a few volumes back in the 19th
century and then stopped. Issues are available on microform, though the
illustrations are a bit fuzzy.

The Boston Society of Natural History: I don't know its current status. Its
wonderful library was transferred to the Allan Hancock Foundation
(University of Southern California, Los Angeles) many years ago (1940's?).

The Lyceum of Natural History of New York is now the New York Academy of
Sciences and doing very well.
