Teachers looking for an Agriculture Education Staff Development
training for July ?

We just got approval and are working on an agenda for a Farm to School
staff development July 7 - 9.
Farm to School programs are popping up all over the U.S. These
programs connect schools with local farms with the objectives of
serving healthy meals in school cafeterias, improving student
nutrition, providing health and nutrition education opportunities that
will last a lifetime, and supporting local small farmers.
Farm to School program is just beginning in Georgia and what better
place to provide the educational component of this program than from
our agriculture education classrooms and land labs.

The workshop will include hands on labs where you will have the
opportunity to harvest and prepare vegetables for CSA,
establishment of school garden plots and the development of
educational lesson to be taught with garden harvest and food taste
labs and tours of small and sustainable gardens and farms. Provide
will be great experiences and lesson plans for you to take back to
your school and develop into your curriculum and SAE projects.

The staff development will be posted on the CTAE Resource Network and
plu credit provided.
Class size will be limited.
If you would like to register for the class please email me @
