The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will hold a National Archery in the Schools Program teacher certification April 30 at West Green Elementary School in Coffee County. Those interested in learning about teaching an archery unit in either Ag or P.E. should consider attending the workshop. More than 11,000 schools nationally 4th-12th grade are teaching this unit in school and forming archery teams to compete at the regional, state and national level. Schools sending two or more teachers to the certification training qualify for a $1,500 archery equipment grant.
