Oh. Well, as to your original question, Paul, the answer is yes. The gender
of *specific* names is changed when the species is reassigned to another
genus whose name has a different gender, but the gender of *generic* names
is constant. Thus, zoological nomenclature can accommodate both a Nassarius
and a Nassaria.
The ICZN does recommend against new names that promote confusion, but
that's a matter of taste, don't you know.
