Finding out that the New England Wentletrap is not actually found in New England shouldn’t be a surprise to any of us. We all know that Cassis madagascariensis is not found in Madagascar, conus caladonicus does not come from New Caledonia, and conus Dominicanus is not found in Dominica. Those are just a few off the top of my head that I deal with on a daily basis but I’m sure there are many many others.
