Thanks Amy. I have the species list from Dunlap's article already. What I'm looking for is the actual reference that Dunlap is referring to.

Hello Bret,

I believe I have found what you are looking for.  It is in Hawaiian Shell News, January, 1986; New Series 313; Volume XXXIII No. 1.  The article is on Page 7 and the title is WAKE ISLAND REVISITED – 1985, and is written  by Edward A. Dunlap, M.D.  The Cypraea listed by Trout and Kakko are:

C. annulus

C. cernica

C. childreni

C. chinensis

C. cicercula

C. staphylaea

C. clandistina

C. cribraria

I hope the above will help you.

Subject: [CONCH-L] Need Trout & Kakko? paper or reference

I'm having trouble finding the paper or reference of "Trout & Kakko". In a 1986 Hawaiian Shell News article, Edward Dunlap wrote about shelling at Wake Island. In that article, he mentions that "Trout & Kakko" listed a number of Cypraea from Wake. Unfortunately, no year or reference was provided. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bret
