Hi everyone,
During the time that Philippe and Ellen did the work on what was then the Ranellidae I was also working on the family. I did a presentation on Charonia at COA and many of the findings of the Strong - Bouchet study verified some of the opinions that I had at the time. Cymatiidae and Ranellidae were separated and a new family was established for Charonidae. This was a great work in my opinion. I only wish that it could have been taken to the specific level as there are many populations that are very different from the nominate forms. This would be a great project for someone.
Best wishes, Dennis Sargent
