Having recently visited the Florida Museum of Natural History let me add my
observations to Dr. Rosenberg's comments regarding the use of "Leg." by that
institution.  I too noticed that their labels (not historical, but recent) use
"Leg." to indicate donor and not the collector as is standard practice.  For
example, a number of years ago due to the shortsightedness of Alabma Museum
personel, the entire malacological collection was transferred to FMNH (Univ.
Florida).  The labels for that collection all read "Leg.:  Univ. Alabama".
