Dear Avril, Ross, Kevin and all Conch'Lers,

definitely a P. hirasei. This species is said to be found in the
Philippines, but I've never seen one from there. On the other hand, the
Taiwanese collectors/dealers dump all their surplus stock in Mactan and it
is rather usual to find these northern species in quantity there. This
specimen is quite beautiful and worth being in a collection. However, the
slit is visibly filed.
