How reliable is OBIS ( http://data.acnatsci.org/obis/ ) in its
designation of species names as synonyms?  Is there any reason I should
not use its "Name In Current Use" as I update my database for my
Cerithiidae?  As usual, a simple Google search finds many sites listing
or picturing shells under names that OBIS calls synonyms.
