Dear Conch-Lers

I just want to thank and congratulate Doug Shelton & clan (or clam? :-)),
and all the people who worked hard to organize the COA Convention in Mobile.
It was my first COA, and although I could only come for a couple of days and
missed some of the programs, I really enjoyed it!

I finally got the chance to meet some people with whom I corresponded, and
many I knew by name, as well as see some old friends I had not seen in a
long time. For example, I last saw the Coltro brothers at least some 16
years ago, when I still lived in Brazil. I also enjoyed meeting and talking
to (or rather, trying to talk--I lost my voice, but it's coming back now) a
lot of old and new friends.

And, lastly, the amazing diversity of great shells on display at the show
and at the bourse was well worth the trip. I got lots of the cheaper shells
(pretty good deals!), and I better start saving money for next time, so that
I can get some of the ones I could not afford this time.

Thanks for all, and see you next time in Oregon!

Aloha,
Fabio
