I forgot to mention in my previous post that out of the mollusk world,
music-related names, even genera, are widespread:
- Buxtehudea scaniae (a microsporidian parasite, of genus derived from
Dietrich Buxtehude, a german baroque composer)
-Mozartella beethoveni (a wasp, dedicated to both Mozart and Beethoven)
-Fernandocrambus chopinellus (a moth, named after Chopin)

As for modern music, well...
Avalanchurus lennoni, A. starri Edgecombe & Chatterton, 1993 (trilobites)
Named for Beatles John Lennon and Ringo Starr.
Bushiella (Jugaria) beatlesi Rzhavsky, 1993 (Annelida, spirorbid)
Greeffiella beatlei Lorenzen, 1969 (nematode) Lorenzen doesn't state the
etymology, but the worm's shagginess suggests a Beatles haircut.
Struszia mccartneyi Edgecombe & Chatterton, 1993 (trilobite) for Paul
McCartney.
Aegrotocatellus jaggeri Adrain & Edgecombe, 1995 (trilobite) for Rolling
Stones' Mick Jagger.
Avalanchurus simoni and A. garfunkeli Adrain & Edgecombe, 1997 (trilobites)
Phialella zappai, a jellyfish (named after Franz Zappa)

and for Elvis fans...Elvisaurus Holmes, 1993 [nomen nudum] (Antarctic
dinosaur) so called for it's 'pompadour-like' crest. Now Cryolophosaurus
