The shallow reef damage here in SoFla is caused almost exclusively by
beach renourishment and other dredging projects.

Reef Rescue is sueing Palm Beach County for violations of the federal
Clean Water Act in a recent inlet dredging project, SurfRiders is sueing
over a beach renourishment project.

See Reef-Rescue.org

Storm damage is not the problem. The problem is not enough $$ support
for groups like Reef Rescue which are the only enforcers of
environmental regulations.
