According to a fissurellid web site at:
vieoceane.free.fr/mollusques/Fissurellidae.htm the shells are very similar,
but the animals differ. F. unguis is beige while F. sinensis is black. I
found what looked like the same image used for both species, so who knows?

Subject: [CONCH-L] Scutus
Dear All:
What is the difference between
Scutus unguis (Linnaeus, 1758),
and S. sinensis (Blainville, 1825)?
Thanks,
Andrew
