A few years back, this species was coming out of Western Australia in
considerable numbers, under the name Pleurotomaria tangaroana Bouchet &
Methevier.  I've never seen that name actually listed in a book, but it was
used by dealers for several years.  So, if you have a P. tangaroana in your
collection, it is actually P. westralis, which is the only member of the
family occurring in Australian waters.
